The race is on!

Our cross-country team may be finished for the season, but Good Shepherd Montessori School has one more big race to run before the South Bend cold sets in. We are making a big push in the month of November to raise $50,000 in scholarship and financial aid funds for our students - are you laced up and ready to run your leg of the race?

Did you know that 48% of GSMS students currently receive financial aid? Each year, the school raises its own financial aid pool, which is then distributed justly according to our families’ needs.

We believe that the ultimate aim of a Montessori education is to foster world peace and work toward global justice. A Montessori education at Good Shepherd equips each of our students with eight qualities that will support their pursuit of this shared vision:

  1. Independence

  2. Confidence & Competence

  3. Intrinsic Motivation

  4. Academic Preparedness

  5. Autonomy

  6. Spirituality

  7. Social Responsibility, and

  8. Global Citizenship

In the coming weeks we will be sharing more about these qualities and introducing you to Good Shepherd students whose education is transforming a world in need.

As the holidays and a time of reflection approach, we invite you to consider how you can join us in the race toward a more peaceful, just and joy-filled future for our community and world at-large.

Take your mark...
